Neelam is the mixed-media visual artist behind Art is a Verb. As a South Asian woman, child of immigrants, Alberta-born, current Montréal-er, her work explores the places and identities she’s lived, a focus on hearth and home, a constant reverence for nature, and a commitment to a “femme is not frail” message. Neelam will have dried floral bouquets, mixed-media art, embroidered accessories (bookmarks, magnets, pins, pillboxes, pocket mirrors, jewelry, etc.), and prints of her original work. She is excited to introduce her one-of-a-kind, handmade, slow art to the wide demographic that crosses Concordia campus.
